Racers In Christ NXT-- What’s New in 22?

Racers In Christ is excited to announce some exciting things happening in 2022! With the loss of Crew Chief, Jesse Dillow, the racing plans have changed.

“We had planned to race full time and follow the Steel Block Late Model Series in 2022, but with the loss of Jesse, we have decided to only race 10-15 races locally this year,” said Tony Dillow, driver of the RIC #7 Late Model. Thankfully Rhonda Dillow Armstrong is going to step in as Crew Chief for the RIC team.

“I have always wanted to be a crew chief-- just never did it. I’m a little nervous because the sport in male dominated,” stated Rhonda.

 

Tony has agreed to be the full time announcer for the Steel Block Late Model Series in 2022!  “I feel like it is best for me to just announce this year instead of race full time because of the loss of Jesse. It will be difficult going to the tracks without him; we did racing together for almost 30 years,” stated Tony.

 

In honor of Jesse Dillow, RIC has planned the “Jesse Dillow Memorial” May 7, 2022 at Willard Speedway.

“Jesse loved Willard; it was his favorite track. I want it to be a special event to remember my brother and the great man he was,” said Tony.

We have been out of racing for a few years; however, we are putting a car together to race in 2022! We are excited to get back to the track and do what we love.

 

We are currently looking for supporters to help make this happen. We are also looking for some folks to join our team to help in the shop and at the track.
